Nathaniel Piper was born in England, about 1630, and left Dartmouth, in Devonshire, England for New England, arriving in early as 1635, for on December 15 of that year he was witness to a deed. He lived in Ipswich, Massachusetts, where he purchased some marsh land from Andrew Hodger, March 18, 1662. In 1665, he drew a share and a half of Plum Island. His will is recorded in the Ipswich records dated March 7, 1675 and roved September26, 1676. He married Sarah, who married (second) Ezekiel Woodward, of Wenham, where she was residing in 1695 and where she probably died.
